Things to due in Iowa with 19 year old boys
Hello, I was wondering if anyone can advise me on fun places to take my 19 year old nehew visiting SE Iowa from CA for the first time? He likes the outdoors as well as cultural things. Sure would appreciate some help..

One word...noodling. I'd bet he'd remember that forever.
I'm kidding. Do you have access to a boat? He'd probably love you if you could take him skiing or wakeboarding. Where do you live in SE Iowa? How far would it be to trek it to NE Iowa and effigy mounds? That might be something. Other than that, Chicago is actually a fantastic idea. You could head down to Wrigleyville and try to scalp some tickets (they're at FLA this weekend though).

I don't know how SE we are talking but FunCity in Burlington might be "fun"
Midwest Entertainment and Casino Resort - PZAZZ! in Burlington, Iowa Maharishi Vedic City would certainly be a cultural experience. Maharishi Vedic City Iowa City would be a cool town to visit for a 19 year old, just don't tell him he can get into the bars! Iowa City / Coralville Convention and Visitors Bureau - ICCCVB
