Smile Commute from CR to I

Are you guys crazy! It is not an easy commute! Everyone on 380 is driving at least 10 miles over the speed limit 80-85. I drive it every day and always pray before I get on. In fact I drive the back road to Swisher and get on there so I am only on 380 about 10 minutes. People do not respect each other, never signal and speed. I am not a speeder and drive like I have sense!! Last winter ice was an inch or so thick on the interstate and it was awful! I do it because I love my job and I take my time!!!

I agree with you. I think some of these posters are the ones going 80 or 85, because you cannot makie it between CR and IC in 20 minutes with any sort of traffic if you're driving the speed limit. Prepare yourself for a 30-40 minute commute, and try to be in the "slow" lane as much as possible for your own safety. Personally, I think it is the commute from hell.

It's so-so. Lots of people do it. I recently just took up a commute from Marion to West Branch which covers that stretch and a bit more.... In the winter just leave earlier! Please! We can't all be in a hurry year round Seriously - you could probably even find someone to commute with, splitting the cost of gas.

We can make it in about 25 minutes. That's driving at 73-75 in the 70 mile an hour zone.
Just make sure he's prepared to stay over night there if it snows like last year. 380 seemed closed more then it was open and don't risk your life on the side roads. Plowing here sucks. Believe me on that. I come from the state where the streets were always plowed and nothing ever shut down. 15 inches of snow where we used to live and I'd be out shopping.
I was floored the first winter we were here and witnessed the "plow" service. We live on a pretty busy street and it would be 2 days after it had snowed(maybe 8 inches)and we still weren't plowed. Someone's house burned down because the fire trucks couldn't get down the street because it hadn't been plowed in days. I think CR has 2 trucks. Trust me that I'm not the only one who thinks this either.
