Default Jobs and information for Stanton/Red Oak area

I lived in Iowa for a time when I was younger and I loved it.
Stanton actually. I love that small town feel.

I am considering a move back that way.

I have seen that the best area for jobs is Des Moine or Omaha.
What about Networking jobs?

How far from Des Moine to the Red Oak area?

I havent been there in 20 years but I loved it.

What about renatals? Price how available. Houses apartments.
In both Red Oak or Des Moines

Thanks

I don't know a whole lot about Red Oak. But I have been there once very recently. It is a long drive to Des Moines. 2-1/2 hours. Red Oak is much, much closer to Omaha (probably 35-40 minutes apart) - in fact I noticed when I was there they even have ride shares from Red Oak to Omaha.

Odd that you should mention Red Oak. I can't mention the company that I work with, but I know of two corporations that are setting up distribution centers just outside of Red Oak. It may be a year, or so, before they start hiring.
I'm in HR. It's sad to see us throw out so many applications because of bad references. Be sure to go to badreferences.com. In small towns, you won't get a second chance. You know how that works.

Ride Share??

Sorry all I am currently living in Tucson AZ and have no idea what that is.
Also if someone might comment a bit more on housing, Rentals and such that would be great.
Also Stores, Grocery, clothing, anything else anyone can think of...

Thanks again

Ride share is something like a scaled down version of a city bus. Typically the transporatation agency in Omaha makes passenger vans (instead of city buses) available to more distant cities that aren't in the immediate metro area.

So in Red Oak, there would be 8 people that would ride to Omaha in the passenger van in the mornings and ride back to Red Oak in the evening.

Strange, my family is all from Red Oak and Stanton! What a random little town to mention...

And no, haha, Red Oak certainly doesn't have the worst meth problem in the nation.
