Mediacom is a rip-off. I pay $60 for cable internet, which is reasonable for the speed and reliability. However, they want me to pay $45 more a month for basic TV service, plus install, taxes, and all other BS with it.
I'd like to give satelite a try. Can you get some basic services for $30/month? |

mediacom is a rip off, for sure... once that promotional period ended, I went and just took the high speed internet along with the basic channels (the 19 bucks a month barebones channels) so I could lower the bill to about 70 bucks total including taxes etc. since I didn't watch the cable that much. Nice thing about the barebones channel package, is that it includes the hi definition versions of the local channels for those with a built in tuner in their sets that will pick them up. That's about all I ever watched anyways.
Anything else I just download off the internet to save money. Just about any television show in existance can be downloaded in 720p/x264 off the net. mediacom is behind the times when it comes to HDTV. |
