Cheap internet in Des Moines? (Iowa City, Beaver: relocate, work, company)

Hi everyone,
I am hoping that someone may have suggestions for me regarding internet service. I have just relocated from Iowa City to the Beaverdale area in Des Moines. Is there a company that offers either cheap or 'reasonable' internet access? I have seen the offers by Mediacom for $29.95 hi-speed internet, but that offer is only if you also subscribe to cable tv and/or telephone. I already have a cell under contract and don't use cable tv, so it doesn't look like Mediacom's package would work for me.

So, I am hoping someone may have suggestions? Ideally I would prefer high-speed access, but would also consider dial-up. (That is, if dial-up works with a cell phone?) I really don't want to have to get/pay for a landline to have dial-up... Sigh As you can tell, I am not really tech savvy about combining these technologies.

Anyway, on a brighter note, I love Des Moines and my own little Beaverdale neighborhood!

Mediacom has pretty good internet service, are you sure there isn't a way you could work it out to get internet only?
