I got one about four weeks ago (as part of my job). However, I rarely travel and can access my work emails from my home computer. I picked this thing up maybe twice since I got it.
Maybe I'm missing out on the "high", but I don't get the big deal.

I travel weekly and carry my blackberry like an appendage. I also use it when I'm home and actually sitting in front of my computer. It's pretty ridiculous. But hey, I can quit whenever I want!!!
Not sure what your intention is for doing a pin exchange.

LoL, I understand. I was just doing it for fun. We do the pin exchange on our site so we can chat if we want on blackberry messenger (BBM). I carry a vzw 8830 world edition for work and the vzw 8330 curve for personal. I use BlackBerry Enterprise Server and microsoft exchange server for my work and personal email. I love it. Could never go back.
What is your favorite apps/software?
I love my superpages. Be able to look up companys and doing reverse phone # searches is way handy. Also black and white list. Which is handy for people you don't want to talk to. Add them to the black list and when they call, the phone doesn't even ring, just goes straight to voice mail!
Anyone here planning on getting the BlackBerry Storm/thunder (new touch screen blackberry)?

my trackball on my Curve broke after 13 months of ownership, they won't cover it under warranty since it was one month out of warranty. I am pissed. I feel like burning RIM and AT&T headquaters to the ground. Other than that I liked the phone.

There is a how to on track ball removal and cleaning on our site. If you carry the phone in you pocket a lot, you will get pocket lint down in there. The trackball is pretty easy to remove. Also if you would like to get a new track ball and assemble, I order mine from cnn.cn they cost $10. Come check out the how to first though, it has pictures to go along with it.
