Default Rural Polk Co.

This was taken off of a county road near the Chichaqua Bottoms in NE Polk County. This is my favorite type of Iowa scenery, and is the most typical around the state.

No there's quite a bit of rural land North and East of the metro... Polk Co. is nowhere near that built up lol.

when i went to des moines, i was amazed at how rural it was so close to the city. I had never seen a city that has so much rural land close to city limits. When I go to Pittsburgh for instance, its a half hour of stop and go traffic before I ever hit the city. In Des Moines, I just drove right in

Des Moines is no Pittsburgh, that's for sure. We're about 1.5 million people short of meeting their size of city.

I like Des Moines a lot more than pittsburgh. I definately like how its easier to get there, much less traffic, and Des Moines has a great skyline, so it does have that city feel, even though you can be out of the city in 10 minutes.
