There is a lot of manufcaturing companies in Dubuque, but there doesn't seem to be any high tech industries. Is there a job market for high tech professionals? Such as computer programmers, electrical engineers, software engineers, etc?
Any startup or small companies there that just aren't on the radar yet? There seems to be a lot of industry there, especially for the size of town Dubuque is. |

I recall a few years ago (2003?) that the Milken Institute ranked Dubuque as having the highest high tech GDP growth rate among nearly 100 smaller metro areas: http://www.greaterdubuque.org/downlo...e_number_1.pdf Here's a few of the high tech companies that I know of in Dubuque. Most employ software or electrical engineers in at one capacity or another. ![]() NetSmart Inc. ENTEGEE CarteGraph Systems, Inc. McKesson Corp. Quebecor World Inc.
