Default Moving to Ankeny next week

hi everyone...well, i'll be relocating to ankeny next week after spending most of my life in california. i am basically just packing up and leaving and hopefully, will figure everything out once i get there. my main question is, how is the job situation in the des moines area? it has gotten to the point in california that there are just too many people vying for a select few jobs that it's impossible to make it. any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

thanks,
robyn

The job market is excellent in DM, Robyn. I do not know your skillset, but DM is very white collar and financial services/insurance oriented, along with technology (that is a part of any company these days).

Aviva Insurance is hiring 250 people.
Wells Fargo is hiring hundreds, if not thousands.
Nationwide/Allied Insurance is expanding.
Principal Financial Group seems to always be hiring.

It is a great time to be in the DM Metro. There are so many things to do here now. It has been changing for years, but really transformed in the last 5 yrs.
