Great restaurants in/near Beaverdale?
I have friends coming in from out of town next week. I am hoping to get a few suggestions on restaurants up near Beaverdale. We love almost any kind of food as long as it is good! Ethnic, Asian, Italian, or American are all possibilities, but I would really like to stay in the Beaverdale area.
My own limited restaurant experience here has not been great, so I hope you all can help me out.
Many thanks!

Christopher's (Italian) is probably the most well-known, surefire pick.
The Rice Bowl is good Chinese (but I don't believe they serve alcohol, if that matters).
What kind of place are you looking for?
AK's O'Connos is very causual, more bar food atmosphere.
B & B's is kind of neat place. Known for their fish taco's.
Chef Kitchen is good too.

Flying Mango is close by and features gourmet BBQ food. J Benjamin's on Merle Hay and Franklin is an excellent, excellent restaurant as well.
I'm not too impressed with most of the food options in Beaverdale, except El Aguila Real and A.K. O' Connor's. Maybe the new Martini and Panini Restaurant that just opened up there would be a good choice to explore something new.

yes, if you want Mexican, El Aguila Real is pretty darn good. I thought of the new Martini/Panini place as well (I think it is called something like Good Sons?), but at this point the question is too broad to know what exactly the original poster is looking for?

Oooh, lots of great ideas
I drive by the Flying Mango every day and always wondered what kind of food they had. I will have to check them out one day soon.
I had not heard about either El Aquila Real or J Benjamin's.
I know where Christopher's, Chef's Kitchen, and Rice Bowl are, but haven't heard anything one way or the other about them, but if the Rice Bowl is any good, I will definitely go there myself.
I have had several really disappointing food experiences here, mainly with take-out, largely as a result of my co-workers' recommendations regarding Asian food....
I think that from what you all say, El Aquila Real, Benjamin's, or Chef's Kitchen will do nicely for us.
Thanks for the help!
