Default DSM neighborhood(s)

I am considering a move to DSM within the next few years and had a quick question about neighborhoods in DSM. I am looking for a traditional (i.e. older homes with lots of mature tree-lined streets) upscale neighborhood with large lots/yards for kids to play in (Think the house and neighborhood in Father of the Bride for example). Are there older, established neighborhoods in DSM like this? Or are all of the more upscale neighborhoods just new developoments full of cookie cutter McMansions? Any pictures to see these neighborhoods? Thanks a ton!!!

Try the area around Ingersoll, Polk Blvd, Grand Ave and/or the Waterbury neighborhood.

I concur with El Rhino. What is your definition of upscale?

To add to El Rhino, I also really like the houses on Kingman Blvd. Many of them are very nice. Cottage Grove also has some nice houses. Of course there is also Beaverdale and South of Grand.
