Looks like the Express bus service is your option if you're taking public transit. That may be in jeopardy with the City of Johnston looking to cut their portion of funding to DART, which would leave them as the largest suburb to not have any transit service.
You could try a cab company too, but that would way more expensive if you're talking about commuting. Maybe your work place has a car pool option? I think DART has vans available if a workplace is able to successfully lure enough to warrant a car pool.
