SEIowaRiver is on a distinguished road
I lived there for 6 years and it was the worst 6 years of my life. The wind whips ceaselessly off the Great Prairie and winter comes early and stays late. Too far from everywhere. No fishing, little hunting except birds. The people were just plain unfriendly. Don't go. Please don't go.

How's the employment opportunity? (either seasonal or annual, prodominately laboring jobs)

I live about 15 miles west of Sheldon and I've frequently visited the town. If your still planning on moving to Sioux County i would not recommend Sheldon. Compared to most towns in Sioux County, Sheldon is considerably run down. Streets are poor, trash in gutters, lawns etc. If i was to recommend a town i would recommend Sioux Center which is very kept up, low living costs, variety of friendly people, and alot of job opportunities. There is also a quite popular Christian College (Dordt) There are also alot of fishing opportunities, but require some driving, but not too much. Turkey and Deer hunting are common; deer are plentiful for sure. Life in Sioux Center is easy lived, especially with the people and job opportunities around here.
Hope it Helps

I hope your last name starts with a V. If so, you'll get along great there.
