I know where Clio is, pass the sign for it on Hy 65 when I'm cruising Wayne County on my way to the fine town of Lineville. Tell us about Clio. Sometimes I like to get off the bike and check out places along the way. Humeston has a nice city park with a tank in front that gives me the warm fuzzies. Also got off 65 once to check out Derby, as there is a bike trail that runs over to Chariton. I was impressed to see the town was quite lively with everyone out that afternoon watching a ball game at the park, walking around town visiting and having a good time.

Plan on taking my motorcycle down to visit Lineville sometime in May. However, if you have a good running car, I would certainly be happy to drive you down to Clio for a visit if you live in the Des Moines area, free of charge. I'll be happy to let you buy the gas, lol. I drive nice and slow, especially on the way back home. Use the IM feature to contact me if you wish, and leave your number. If were lucky the Amish girls will have the buggy parked near Lucas and we can get some goodies on the way back home.

Noticed just north of Lineville a mile or two along Hy 65 there is a "roadside park" with an old red country school house. It's falling apart but I stop there sometimes to take a break. All the windows are boarded up but one in back, you can peek in and see an old piano in there, Might of been also used as a church. Kind of wish they would add a picnic table and service the porto potty once in a while.
Just for fun I rode a few miles south of Lineville to Mercer, MO and noticed they have a rather interesting arch like bridge you cross to get into town off 65. I will check out Clio next time I go down there, unfortunately I don't have a digital camera at the moment, but will tell you what I see. I don't think there's much left to describe as it shows up as about 10 square blocks on the map.

And also wanted to see if you remember this old schoolhouse on Hy 65 a couple miles north of Lineville with a little camera peek into the back window.
