I'm talking North Chicago, East St. Louis, South Philadelphia, Oakland, Compton, Hoboken, North KC, North Omaha, you get the picture... Even in smaller cities such as the Drake area in Des Moines, East Waterloo, Rock Island, etc, etc. I don't think you're dumb or anything, but you know that's a bad example.

Well Detroit and East St. Louis are not exactly "diverse". The majority of the population of those two cities consist of one race. Diversity means having a variety of different cultures, ethnicities and/or races.

Oakland, on the other hand, does look fairly diverse statistically.

That's true, I think Detroit is about as black as Des Moines is white. Wikipedia says ESL is about 97% black.

So, can we as white people be politically correct in labeling Detroit as a racist city because they have a black Majority? (you know since we are all white racists here in Neb and Iowa...or racially ignorant)

I'm afraid not Steve. You see, Detroit is a "big city" and so they tend to be more "sophisticated" than us backwards ignorant racists in Iowa.

Why did Chatham, Illinois come into this conversation? It's a small suburb of Springfield, Illinois with 66 black people.

I'm going to assume they don't live in an established safe "black" neighborhood. I mean - you're talking like maybe 20 black households in the whole town.

I'm also going to bet that there aren't 58,000 people living in Cedar Rapids who are wasting their time wishing the 5,000 blacks in their community would just go away and die. How racist are you that you think half the population of Cedar Rapids would immediately write someone off for a job or whatever just because they're black. There are plenty of professional and "normal" black people out there. A vast majority. You make it seem like the "blacks" are all a bunch of homeless crime infested hoards.

Not Iowa is struggling. There is no logic behind any of that babble.

That depends. What are they saying in their forum about whites moving into their neck of the woods?

Why do you take offense to being pointed out as a racist when you make blanketed racist comments? Is there something wrong with racism?
