Default Des Moines Nightlife & Downtown living
Hi Guys,

I'm an Australian moving to Des Moines for work. I am in my mid 20's and still like to have a beer and eat out. Does Des Moines has a main bar and restaurant area (Nightlife)?
Does anyone know what it is like to live in Downtown? Any apartment buildings to recommend.
Any advice on social activities or general living would be much appreciated.

Court Avenue is where the action is. You will find sports bars, nightclubs, a British-style pub, a place with over 100 beers on tap (many more in bottles), and more. There are many different apartments/condos/lofts to choose from. I can't comment on any specific buildings as I do not live downtown, however.
