I have two coats generally. One heavier one, and one that's a bit lighter. I get cold pretty easy so I also wear long johns under my pjs. It's something to think about. Snow boots are really only necessary if you plan to be out building snowmen with your kids-if you have any, or shoveling snow. Wear gloves, I can't stress this enough. Also, head covering that covers the ears. They make this little heated packets my husband puts in his shoes for extra warmth, he seems to like those. Also, my husband works in the elements so he owns a pair of Carhart overalls. I don't think he would have gotten through winter without them. End of winter is the cheapest time to buy-for the next year. The next best is to buy second hand or buy early. If you wait too long oftentimes the selection is not as good.
