possible relocation (Iowa City: quality of life, where to live, horse)

Im a State Corrections officer from the north east part of the country with a great passion for the outdoors , specificly hunting and fishing which is how I fell in love with the eastern part of Iowa. I have an opportunity to work for Iowa medical and classification center (IMCC) outside of Iowa City and would appreciate greatly any info on where to live and raise my family. Looking for a piece of land away from the city with good hunting and fishing potential. Was raised in the country on a horse farm that has been sold and developed like most of my state, looking for the same kind of lifestyle for my two children.Tired of the anti-government and minority intergration. Looking for quality of life for my family and Iowa seems like the place, any info would be appreciated.
