Default Look'n for a Dirt Floor Bars in Iowa

Hey Iowa,

We are a Wisconsin Car Club headed your way in September for a 4 day cruise. One of the items that the members of the group have asked me to search out is the ugliest - dirtiest appearing bar in the State. We are looking for one in a small town that has a unique setting. Don't worry you can't embarass this bunch of old car buffs.

Likely entering the state by Prairie du Chien and departing into Illinois. No clear route planned yet. We are looking for those really unique - back roads places that 'old' car nuts would enjoy...., your ideas are appreciated.

So any leads would be helpful as we put the route together.

Thanks from Baraboo, Wisconsin!

Not Iowa but try any of the bars in/around Benton, WI. Some of them are "pee off the back porch" places! New Diggings, WI used to have one!

We did our pre-trip drive thru Iowa earlier this week, setting up motels - etc. Have to say that Iowa does not have any 'dirt floor bars', so we are planning to settle on a dirt lawn behind the Super 8 I guess. Great state to spend some time in, we had a great time during the pre-run and anticipate our Cruise participants will also.
