Default Tabor, Iowa History

Would anyone possibly know the exact date Tabor was founded? And by who? And what the population was when it was founded and what it is now? Aand if it has a city motto. I am having a lot of trouble finding this. So please help.

Here's a link that might help:

http://www.cr.nps.gov/nr/travel/underground/ia1.htm

It has some history about the town.

Hi Zqdodson,

I had tried with Google Search and came out two of many possible websites. Unfortunately, Tabor has no website of it's own.

First one is "Early Settlement And Growth of Western Iowa" website --> http://freepages.books.rootsweb.com/...amily/bio.html (It will tell the year and founders of Tabor, I think, in the second part)

Second one is "Tabor, Iowa - Wikipedia The Free Encyclopedia" website --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabor,_Iowa (It will only tell population as of Census 2000 and bits of History).

Thus not sure of city motto and popluation count when it was founded.

Good webpage link, Stevie!

Hope this helps you, Zqdodson.

Have a great day!

Kevin

Back here... I was looking up with US Census Bureau and entered Tabor Iowa.. It came up with 2005 population estimate for Tabor is 975.

You're welcome anytime Zqdodson....

your previous question is seem hard to find but I found one website that serve Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area Contigency Plan that serves numerous towns including Tabor by Environmental Protection Agency. Here is the link and you need to have acrobat reader (.pdf) file to read....

http://www.epa.gov/region7/cleanup/s...CB2EPA0603.pdf

More info about Tabor, Iowa... Just in case....

Fremont-Mills School District is located in Tabor that served students who live in Southern Mills and Northern Fremont counties. It's URL --->
http://www.fmtabor.k12.ia.us/Fm_1/index.html

Tabor Public Library URL's ---> http://community.heartland.net/tabor...ry/library.htm

Tabor Historical Society URL's ---> http://community.heartland.net/tabor...historical.htm

I hope this helps you even I couldn't find other topics which you listed.

Smiles and have a great day... If any questions, feel free to ask. I may misunderstand what you meant in previous post.

Kevin
