Default Need apartment in Dubuque, please help

I need a 1 bdr apartment or studio in the Dubuque area. I have checked craigslist and apartments.com and really cannot find much.
Are there no apartment complexes in Dubuque?
My price range is $300-$500 tops.

Thanks all

I have found in my many years of moving around with my job that sites like Apartments.Com are not very good for smaller cities like Dubuque. And even for big cities, they only show a fraction of what's really out there because a lot of complexes will not pay to advertise with them.

I am considering Dubuque myself, and have found the two best options are:

Going to the newspaper's online classifieds. The newspaper is called the Dubuque Telegrah-Herald, and their website is www.thonline.com Once you're there, go to Classifieds and then Rentals. There is a good selection in your price range.

Another option is to go to www.whitepages.com and do a search for apartments in Dubuque, IA. You will get a list with addresses and phone numbers. A map will also be displayed to show locations. I would just go down the list and start calling them to get details, prices, and availibility.

Hopefully this helps. I know how hard it can be to find a decent apartment in a smaller city. Good luck with your move to Dubuque!

I live in Dubuque and found myself looking for an apartment when I went through a divorce 3 years ago. I found a nice 2-bedroom for $475 per month in the Telegraph-Herald Classifieds, which included heat and water. I have purchased a condo in the meantime and no longer live there, but I didn't have to look for very long.
