Burlington Iowa Pictures (houses, area, buildings)

I grew up in Burlington and wanted to know if anyone knows of how I can get some older photos of Burlington, particularly of the area of 6th & Market Streets before they tore down all the houses along 6th Street. I would really appreciate any information. Thank you.

you might contact the local newspaper, the burlington hawkeye. they often have old photos in an archieve. the group there called the heritage trust might also be of some help, as they work to preserve old buildings in the area. also you might contact the library and see what they might have in old newspapers and such. here is a link to the newspaper. the story talks about the hertiage trust groups work. im sure the newspaper would know how to contact them. good luck.
