Default Moving To Dubuque possibly Sageville

Hello, My family and I are moving to the Dubuque area in a few months. We are life long Iowan's but new to the Dubuque area. We are looking at a house in the North End, near Sageville. The house we are looking at is in Emberwood estates and is near John Deere. Can anyone tell us how the area is, is crime low? Schools? Etc.

We like the idea of not being in the sprawling area of Dubuque ( West, South) but just are not sure about the North Area. Any north siders out there?

Thank you very much for any help you may be able to give!!

I realize your post is old but I thought I would try anyway. dubuque has a great schools including sageville and that area of town is very popular with families looking to live close to others...but not on top of them. Although there have been a few more high profile crimes recently, the crime rate is still very low. It's a great city...welcome!

That's a good area, but partial to the south end/ Grandview myself. The only thing you might miss is people as the area is very sparsely populated.
