Default need information on Timothy Brees

My ancestor, Timothy Brees, He was born in New Jersy, and is buried in rural Lee County, IA
He is a Revolutionary War Patriot. I descend from his son Jesse Brees, who was from Marion County, IA, near Knoxville. I am looking for any information I can get pertaining to both of these men. Thank you

Try going to Ancestry.com -- Browser Upgrade. and typing in the names you are looking for. It has been very helpful for me... Good Luck in your search....

This site is great for current info but there are sites devoted to history and genealogy that will serve you better. Go to
Marion County Iowa -- IAGenWeb Project for Marion County
Lee Co. Iowa Genealogy for Lee County
Find A Grave - Millions of Cemetery Records Search for the graves of the two men, but you can also ask for help in the surname forum section. Greyfox and others will help you with research and they are wonderful!
Iowa WPA Graves Registration Survey The WPA graves site has Timothy listed.
RootsWeb.com Home Page -- check the surname forums for Brees and the location forums for the counties

Ancestry.com is wonderful, but very expensive. Check with your library to find out what online databases your membership provides. They may have the library edition of Ancestry, or will have HeritageQuest if not.

Good luck!

Was it the National Cemetary in Keokuk? If so, if you ever visit there, there is a touch screen computer that is always on and has the name of every single person buried in the national part of the cemetary. Maybe that helps...
