Yes I know there are tornados, just not as many.

Does anyone work or know anyone who works for Hormel. We are still contemplating the move and job changes. I have this feeling if my husband does not take the job, we might be missing out on an opportunity. Would like to see what anyone thinks on the job and the people who work there. Then again moving is such a hassel even with kids, and he does have a good job, but with a few issues.

Osceola is a great town with alot to offer. We are close enough to Des Moines to commute but far enough away to have that small town feel. The schools are great and that "Casino" brings alot of funds to town that help non profits. It is a safe place for the kids and has a great historic movie theatre. Osceola had 515 new jobs created in 2007, a great art community and affordable housing. It has 2 grocery stores, a tru value, art gallery, shopping on the square, and good services and ammenities. With a super Wal mart opening in March, you are sure to be able to get whatever you need here in town.
