If you like Liberals, Bad Weather, Streets that don't get plowed or salted.in the winter short summers LONG WINTERS!! you'll like this in breed sate..... If your coming from a warm climate turn your car around or run back.... Don't send your kids to Univ of Iowa, 19 players arrested in the last two yrs...Poor school sytems with very little technology...

Well I'll bet were glad you took your unpleasant rear outta here. I have lived in Iowa for twenty years. I have no ties (born in va) and the people here are as nice as anywhere in the country. a little respect goes a long way in Iowa. I have a feeling you respect nothing. I hope you enjoy your life in the ca desert. high taxes and people who think they are smart enuff to tell everyone els how to live. people rude enuff to runwalk to a door so they beat you in (because they are inportant). I bet you fit right in. you'll enjoy the 120 degree days. Do the have brownouts in the ca desert like the rest of ca? that will be fun too. and for the people well I'll say this des moines yea its a city crime and crud everywhere. However where I live my wife and I left took a trip in my truck. after the first week our neighbor across the street came over and closed our front door(we forgot it left it open) neighbor said it looked like it might rain? Can ya do that with the nice people of ca? only noplace. so you have fun in ca or the west pheonix az kidnapping capitol of the us right now. Good luck to you.

liberals? Really like the ones in ca? poor schools? iowa state and university of Iowa both ranked in the top 100 schools in the us. Iowa state 88 university of Iowa 71. Thats not bad considering all the lib schools like harvard and yale johns hopkins and so on are ranked above. I would say A person could get an excellent education in iowa. for a fraction of the cost of say yale. p.s. I didn't attend either.

hey ale. it's a short ride to Grundy county or bremer co. find a figure 8 race to go see it's a great time for 15 bux (that includes the soda and nacho's and a burger) take care. You wont find entertainment like that in NY or LA.
On an unrelated note: waving in Iowa is a natural reaction EVERYBODY!!! waves.lol we wave to people we know and people we never met. the whole midwest is like that IA,MO,NE,KS. hell I have an arsenal of waves somtimes whole hand somtimes two fingers somtimes one finger and depending on what you've donedetermins witch one.

nope EVERYTHING!! gets sprayed here cars buildings hell they even spray the livestock we love that stuff. Organic? whatever heres some spray for that.

Let me get this right...if your sophisticated you steal things and break into whats not yours. The un sophisticated people however are too nieve to realize that that's what sophisticated people do. and somhow this is a bad thing?? Hmm I'll do my level best to stay unsophisticated if it's all the same to you folks. and thank god there are a bunch of unsophisticated people in my neighborhood I like em.

Dido for me as well!!!! I grew up in Iowa. I don't relate with anything that nut said! The only negative thing for me is the Iowa weather, unfortunatly I can't change that otherwise it would be paradise.
