Other than obvious poisons the consumption of extreme foods should not be a religious issue at all. Rather is should be an issue for nutritional and other relevant science.

The problem is with Islam where the Quran is supposed to be from God [a falsehood] and as such whatever is written is immutable, i.e. cannot be changed eternally. Any changes will threaten a person to HELL [another falsehood]. Therefore if a Muslim eat pork, they will "feel" [based on falsehoods] they will go to hell. This is zombie thinking.

Human thinking would entail proper testings and verifications of the food to be consumed. There is no evidence pork is poisonous nor dangerous like Fugu [pufferfish]. There are risks with eating pork. Thus there should be no injunctions or banning for any human to eat pork as long as they are aware of the low level risks involved.

Rigid Islam is the problem!
I think you will find there are very few Muslims that believe eating pork is going to condemn a Muslim to Hell fire. There are even circumstances under which it is permissable to eat pork, such as if a person was starving and no other food was available'

Yes eating pork is forbidden for many reasons not just because of health reasons,

What I find being a strong reason to not eating it is because it is impossible to slaughter a pig humanely and rapidly by Zabiah slaughter. We are not to allow any animal to suffer and a pig would suffer greatly if one were to attempt halal slaughter.

There are many animals besides swine we can not eat. Virtually all animals are forbidden, easier to name just the ones we are permitted to eat which rudiments with cloven Hooves, Marine life that never leaves the water, and birds except for carrion eaters and birds of prey.

Basically we end up with domesticated vegetarian live stock being what we can eat.

While pork is forbidden there are conditions that have to be met for it to be a sin if we do eat it.

1. We must know swine are forbidden for food.
2. We must know we are eating pork and it is of our own free-will with no extenuating circumstances.
3. It is our intent to eat it to defy Allaah(swt)

Sorry if you rub pig fat on my Turkey, rub pig blood on me, give me a pair of shoes made with pig leather or shoot me with a bullet covered with pig fat, they will not send me to hell.

I love the trolls on here. Enjoy your pork folks. I enjoy my bacon, too. And I'm a Muslim. I LOVE bacon. Good thing for me they have halal versions!!! YUM!
One note to the original author though...the Quran certainly forbids consumption of pork (yes, yes trolls, by believing Muslims!!!), the Quran does not say why it forbids pork, so the reasons you give are only your OPINION. When it comes to what God ordains, why do you feel the need to justify it????
