Evangelicals sing praise and worship, Mormons sing praise and worship, do Muslims have praise and worship or is it just chanting? Thanks

Why no music and singing to Allah?

Qawwali is a kind of Sufi music. That Malian blues singer Ali Farke Toure occasionally had religious songs. I remember one called something like "Allah U-Ya."

Islamism tends to oppose music. Also there's another group that says music as such is okay, but being a "music star" is a form of idolatry.

If that ending sounded confusing not all Muslims are Islamists. There are many movements and elements in the Islamic world. Sunni, Shiite, Ismaili, Ibadite, Sufi (can be anything, I believe it's a mystical tendency rather than a specific school), etc. Also movements that are deemed heterodox or offshoot like Ahmadiyya.

Not all religions have music in the way Christianity does. There is no music in a Muslim Friday prayer service. There is Music by Muslim musicians. There is muslim music that is religious in nature. Yes there are Muslim songs about G-d and praising G-d.

But Not all Muslims are religious (devout) people as you find in Judaism and Christianity is not every Jew and Christian is a devout not heterodox ..

There are Islamic songs(anshad) which aims to rise the spirit of Muslim with allah, Be very beautiful

That's very hypnotic, almost enchanting. Pretty cool, thanks. Would it be allowable for all in a Mosque to sing this together before or after prayers, like a Christian church service? if they did this it would really add to the environment.

no , we worship our God in the way which mohammed (pbuh) teached us , we not make additions to it nor do we neglect something from it

so no , we can hear such songs in our homes but not using it as a ritual worship in mosques

reciting quran for muslims in mosques is sufficient , it's iinfluences on muslims is beyond your imagination
