1 - why muslims fast?
2 - why fasting ramadan is a pillar of islam?
3 - why muslims fast that specific islamic way they do ?
4 - why fasting the islamic way generates piousness?
5 - why specially fasting is prescribed in Ramadan, not in any other month?
why ... why ... why

here is the link to download my own thoughts and answers. they are not copyrighted at all, you can translate them and share them with whoever you wish. thought is free, and should keep so .
just endow us with your comments.

My actual thoughts are...that I don't believe in fasting....any kind of fasting for I don't see a purpose in it nor do I think it is beneficial for the human body to feed off of itself for however long a fast lasts. There are other, more practical ways to become spiritually enlightened and starving isn't one of them.

sir
you say that fasting is not beneficial , i think you should read the article . also what i am asking you (in addition to your personal attitude) is your comment of the thoughts put in that research. that way we show that we are both thinkers, and have rational basis for our believes.
thanks in advance

Muslims only fast from dawn till dark each day of the month of Ramadan, so I don't think it would be harmful to their health, plus it is probably a good way to practice self discipline and will power.

Surely there are better ways to "practice self-discipline and will power". I simply don't believe in the rationale for it, but feel free to do it yourself.
