who said Tyson is a good guy?
i was responding to his thought that the photo is fake
i mean he is from "nation of islam" organization...

that organization by it self is a totally is a religion by it self

although it has "islam" in the name, but they believe that god is human who lived among them and that they their leader was a prophet

for me, i don't care less who is muslim or not

if anyone entered islam i will be happy, and if they don't it's their own choice

I don't think he was saying the photo was fake...he was saying that posting random pictures of 'convert celebrities' was kind of silly and was joking about posting pictures of 'catholic convert celebrities' which would be equally effective in obtaining convert

I'm sure many on here are quite happy to let the muslims 'have' mike tyson.

Is there any point to all of this?

Who cares what silly semi-famous person believes in. Everyone knows most celebrities are greedy self centred, self absorbed and have borderline personality disorders.

Lots of people believe all kinds of silly religious nonsense including islam.

What is your point?

why are you angry?

there mega numbers of stupid topics in this forum section, so if you want something go tell others to ( one of the most stupidest is this topic IMO http://www.city-data.com/forum/relig...follow-me.html )

if you want a point from this topic it's clear

the point is as i see : Why would rich people, who have everything you wish for convert to Islam ( which forbid them from wine, porn, drugs and many things ) ? and some of them grow beard, and invite other people to join Islam ?

that's the point

to made you wonder why they did it.

More celebrities join Scientology than Islam I think...Does that make Scientology the better choice?..Many famous people are nuttier than fruit cakes, and are prime targets for cults of all kinds.

Mike Tyson is broke, and do you really think he abstains from drugs, porn and alcohol? You are making no points here at all.

Cult Education Forum :: Celebrities associated with "cult-like" groups :: Why do stars love such strange groups?

I am not angry.

Who really cares what rich people do? They have ample time to try out their latest crazy religious idea. This weeks it's islam, next week christianity, the week after it's some other fringe lunatic religious idea.

There is still no point to your thread.

I mostly agree. I think stuff like this might fit celebrity or entertainment more. Religious conversion is interesting in a way, but just showing us a picture of someone we may never have heard of and saying "They became Muslim" doesn't tell us much. It might be more useful to just link to a list on the subject.

List of converts to Islam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Famous Converts to Islam
http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/islam_in_the_us/33392 (broken link)

Granted the first two at least, and for some odd reason, count the Nation of Islam as Muslim. Still if you can wade through that there's many names for you and no need for more threads on the matter.

Raise your hand if you had never even heard of this woman until this post
