I can't consider the Koran or Book of Mormon as holy. Is is likely that the Koran was spiritualy inspired, but not by the spirit of God. There are deceiving spirits. If you consider Jesus to be a prophet then I ask you where you will find his prophecies? If he is a revered prophet, shouldn't you know what his prophecies are? You will not find them in the Koran. They are only written in the New Testament of the Bible. I urge you to find out what he said was going to happen! May God guide you to the truth.

Exactly. We are told in the Bible that Satan will change himself into an angel of light. It was an angel of light that appeared to Mohammed ( Also to Joseph Smith). Jesus warned us to test the spirits and that any spirit that denied that Jesus was the son of God come to us in the flesh was not a spirit sent by God.

The quran, bible and every other word written down anywhere are all products of human imagination...There is not such thing as "spiritually" inspired writings...None of the "holy books" hold any more truth than the other.

I'm curious to know if you've read either one of them. I haven't read the Koran, though I would like to some time. My guess is that it is not focused on Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon, on the other hand, contains specific references to Jesus Christ over 500 times in its 531 pages, and always refers to Him as the Son of God, the Messiah, the Savior, the Redeemer, or the Messiah. I don't expect that will convince you that it's a holy book, but it's something to consider. Most people I've talked to are convinced that it couldn't be a holy book, not because of anything it teaches but because it exists. Weird reasoning, in my opinion.

So what makes you think that the angel who appeared to Joseph Smith was from Satan as opposed to God? The Book of Mormon consistently tells us that Jesus Christ was the Son of God. It tells us time and time again that He is the Messiah, the Redeemer, the Savior of the world. If that's your criteria, you obviously don't know a great deal about what the Book of Mormon teaches.

The Mormon belief is that Jesus is part of creation, a creature, just like Satan, you, me, or a turnip. The true Bible teaches that Jesus is the creator of all things. This is a huge difference. Similarly, Islam honors Jesus but denies his divinity. That is all it takes. Satan will use a lake of truth to hide a pint of poison. He doesn't care which direction someone goes as long as it's not the right one. The true path is narrow and difficult.

Yes, I've read the Koran. It's central purpose, after all the flowery writing is cleared aside, is to deny that Jesus is the Son of God. At one point in the book, Jesus is appearing before God to explain why he allowed men to believe that he was God's son. It was an embarrassingly juvenile "They said it, I didn't!" defense, with God admonishing him "But you allowed them to believe it..".

I absolutely don't believe that angel was Gabriel. I also don't believe that Moroni was sent by God.

That is incorrect. Mormon belief is that Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, that He was with the Father in the beginning, that He was the Creator of our universe and the Redeemer of mankind. Please do not presume to explain to people something you do not understand yourself. Stick to explaining your own beliefs and allow Mormons to explain theirs. That way, nobody ends up having his or her beliefs misrepresented.

I will presume to present what I know. The Jesus of Christianity is not the Jesus of LDS. What I have stated is accurate.
