Since this thread was started, I am inspired to ask the following question (which would not have occurred to me otherwise): does Qu'ran distinguish between spiders and women?
Allah is perfect.
Well now, that's debatable, Allah is no more perfect than the Christian God and both of them have their faults.
The Quran is perfect.
Any book that is written by man, whether it's sacred or not, is not perfect. It's subject to the opinions and beliefs of the individual writing it, so it's not perfect.
read the verse again
I really have no need to read the verse again to understand it.
the verse says " the frailest of all houses is the spider's house"
well to begin with a spider does not have a house, it has a web and the web is used as a trap, which seems you have fallen into.
and not "the flimsiest threads".
The threads of a spider's web of many times stronger than that of steel and that's a proven fact that your sacred book cannot tell you.
The spider's home remains to be the weakest and frailest of all homes despite its strong threads.
Again, as I said, a spider does not have a home it has a web.
Your sacred book is very antiquated as well is your religion, it's time to come into the 21st century and civilization.
The spider's home remains to be the weakest and frailest of all homes despite its strong threads.
interesting...
Would you say that is because the spider is left vulnerable from all angles and all the elements, similar to the way someone who does not believe in Allah (or God) is left vulnerable to the temtpations & evils of this world?
A spider's web is the weakest of all houses. It is composed of a group of intricate fine silk threads, mostly with large gaps in-between. However, the spider's silk is one of the strongest substances available on earth, as it can withstand a tension force up to 42000 kg/cm2 which gives it strong stretching abilities. This feature enables it to trap prey insects without being ruptured. Hence, this explains why Allah (SWT) said in his noble book "… the frailest (weakest) of houses" instead of "the flimsiest threads". The spider's home remains to be the weakest and frailest of all homes despite its strong threads. The spider's house & The Muslim's house
