Beegirl

the quran has many reference to scientific facts .
and that is one of the types of verses that help those who have doubt to beleive that the quran is from Allah
and here is one of the fact

all the bees that you see them around the flowers are female bees because it has been discovered that the male bee never leaves his home to gather food.
the quran is more than 1400 years and refered to this fact .

in the following verses the verbs take, eat and follow are translated from the arabic verbs that are used for females.

And your Lord inspired the bees, saying: "Take you habitations in the mountains and in the trees and in what they erect.

Then, eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord made easy (for you)." There comes forth from their bellies, a drink of varying colour wherein is healing for men. Verily, in this is indeed a sign for people who think. The Holy Quran 16:68-69.

The Female Bee by Dr. Gary Miller
In the 16th chapter (Surah an-Nahl 16:68-69) the Qur'an mentions that the female bee leaves its home to gather food. Now, a person might guess on that, saying, "The bee that you see flying around - it could be male, or it could be female. I think I will guess female."

Certainly, he has a one in two chance of being right. So it happens that the Qur'an is right. But it also happens that that was not what most people believed at the time when the Qur'an was revealed. Can you tell the difference between a male and a female bee? Well, it takes a specialist to do that, but it has been discovered that the male bee never leaves his home to gather food. However, in Shakespeare's play, Henry the Fourth, some of the characters discuss bees and mention that the bees are soldiers and have a king. That is what people thought in Shakespeare's time - that the bees that one sees flying around are male bees and that they go home and answer to a king. However, that is not true at all. The fact is that they are females, and they answer to a queen. Yet it took modern scientific investigations in the last 300 years to discover that this is the case.
So, back to the list of good guesses, concerning the topic of bees, the Qur'an had a 50/50 chance of being right, and the odds were one in two.

So you think the quran discovered this fact? Beekeeping has been around a long time....On the walls of the sun temple of Nyuserre Ini from the 5th Dynasty, before 2422 BCE, workers are depicted blowing smoke into hives as they are removing honeycombs.

This OP brings to mind a poem:

"Abri Cache" (hidden dwelling)

Once upon a time, far far away
The battle of birds and bees begun
Issued by the question of where and how...
To bear the loss of land, bed of the ancient tree

The Raven crowed, "Scavenger is how you view of me
The fact 'tis I who knows the way
Since I was first sent to scamp the earth
From end to end siphoned I the nectar dew aleaf at sea
Afore today acclaimed, I and only I know the way."

Honed the Bee, "I am the queen and you...?
The strength you have through vile deed
You savored off of me
Recall as I aver, 'twas me at dawn who shot the sting
Apiary where you came not knowing, sucked and left
while me and astrolabe my drone eyed your wily greed at home."

Apace, the rave had ceased...

Lo! the silence ebbed, as breeze asounds a splash
Lunged by a fish in water dregs
The need to live was why they paused
In tune to hear an angel bubbled air
one by one, with words in whisper declared...

"There is a cove not far from here
Where croc so fierce lived day by day with mouthful Tolu tote
Enmeshed I saw in awe one day...
when he had gone, I went to nib...and found the syrup orb
Is why the croc had laboured so,
The reason why the lament tree when vexed opined."

If gentlemen you opt to go, follow me by way of bay."

In time they marched, in lead of course the bird of prey

En route northwest where 15 set, cooled the fruit of life
For known to them the way to east...morn by morn, the sun arises
Adust the fruit and land with mark of brown dryness

He came, I saw, we conquered...
The saga from age to age sustained
The child's heart to hear from pa, ma or other?
For croc so sly had caused the axis just agape
A space amidst the arc and stumbling stone

It comes to mind a "bee" so small, yet proudly fit the way;
To judge and share the truth, "my honey is why I sit as queen,
But now from throne I will decline to the heir
The tree of seraph nectar, sweeter than all of mine."

Peace!

Childeric, a Merovingian king, was buried with a few hundred golden bees.

What do they mean to you?

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said,
Healing is in three things:
cupping,
a gulp of honey
or cauterization, (branding with fire)
but I forbid my followers to use cauterization (branding with fire).

The medicinal qualities of honey was well known in the world before The Quran pointed it out. The ancient Egyptians of course. Also there are many biblical references to honey and its health benefits...nothing new here.
