Can you say CULT.

Can I say you have no idea as to when and how sharia Law came to be?

There are 4 schools of Islamic Jurisprudence. There are named by their founders and were founded at about the same time. Each school is considered to be equally valid. these Schools were founded somewhere between 100 and 200 years after the Death of Muhammad(PBUH) and are based upon the Ahadith and Sunnah.

Hanbali: This is the most conservative school of Shari'a. It is used in Saudi Arabia and some states in Northern Nigeria. Hanifi: This is the most liberal school, and is relatively open to modern ideas. Maliki: This is based on the practices of the people of Medina during Muhammad's lifetime. Shafi'i: This is a conservative school that emphasizes on the opinions of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad.
The Hanifi school is the most widespread. the other 3 are very much limited to being applicable based upon national culture. Sharia law can only be applied to Muslims. It can not be imposed on non-Muslims. (I know it is done in some countries that fail to follow proper sharia)

At the present time true sharia is an impossibility as true sharia can only be under a Caliphate and there will not be another Caliphate until Jesus(as) returns to earth. true sharia should be of no concern to non-Muslims. But some of the nonsense called Sharia is frightening to both Muslims and non-Muslims. Much of what is called sharia today is in disobedience to the Qur'an.

I have no idea where those laws in Iran come from. They are not from any of the Schools of Islamic Jurisprudence.

During the Golden Age of Islam, the Islamic world then included all of Andalusia (Much of Southern Europe) very fertile productive land.
Japan, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore: They all have one thing in common. They have very few natural resources, but far exceed what should be possible in GDP/productivity.
1.) Japan is 10th in population, but 3rd in GDP.
2.) The United Kingdom is 22nd in population and 7th in GDP.
3.) The Netherlands is 61st in population and 21st in GDP.
4.) Belgium is 76th in population and 30th in GDP.
5.) Sweden is 86th in population and 32nd in GDP.
6.) Denmark is 110th in population and 50th in GDP.
7.) Taiwan is 49th in population and 18th in GDP.
8.) Hong Kong is 99th in population and 38th in GDP.
9.) Singapore is 115th in population and 39th in GDP.
10.) Austrailia is pretty much one giant desert with a very sparse population (ranked 50th) yet they are the 17th most productive nation in the world.

All nations above shouldn't be productive but are. Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium are tiny crowded strips of land. They don't have a ton of things going for them. Japan, Taiwan and the UK are isolated island nations that have to import virtually all raw materials they use. Hong Kong and Singapore don't have any land or resources at all - they're just city-nations. And all of them are big-time over-achievers.

The Muslim nations do have vast resources and there's more to them than just uninhabitable useless desert. They actually have a lot of good things going for them. They have their several fertile regions. They have every economically relevant natural resource - most of them in great abundance. They have the Nile, the Tigress, the Euphrates, the Indus, the Turkish Straits, the Suez Canal, vast resources in Central Asia.

Consider for a moment: Israel is sitting right there in the same boat. Israel is 96th in population and 49th in GDP. And they weren't dealt any of the really good stuff that other nations in the Middle East have to work with. No oil, very little land, no major waterways, pretty much no coal, iron, copper, etc.

The thing is that anyone can make excuses for themselves. Sure it tends to make you feel better when you feel you have a good excuse for yourself. Doesn't do you any good though.

The really impressive thing is the people and nations that make no excuses, ignore their less than perfect hand fate has dealt them and achieve great things agaisnt the odds. What things do all such nations have in common? Well ... none of them have a mostly Muslim population. Other than that, not much.

What I'm suggesting is that the culture of Islam has lost track of it's work ethic and innovative spirit - things they once had in abundance. The only cure is to stop making excuses and get to work fixing it. Educate the people. Try your best to surpass the rest of the world in education - especially science and math. Build up manufacturing and industry.

Beats the heck out of wallowing in self pity and just wishing the world wasn't being so terribly unfair -- which translates directly into extremism and terrorism.

I have not formed an opinion in all you said but I do agree the oil nations have lost any concept of a work ethic. the exception being Dubai. Although I don't like how they are doing it, they are preparing for the end of the oil wealth.

The others have the attitude that they will simply leave when the oil is gone.

If you want to check out Dubai check this link, Dubai is 100% Muslim Citizens.

Can I say that while you are right that I don't know where they came from, I also don't give a damn where or when they came from. I care only that they we expunged from Civilization (well, actually when Sharia is institutied, Civilization is automatically expunged.

IMHO, the biggest threat to humanity is not Communism, Nuclear Weapons etc., but is, in fact, Islam. Islam and humanity are fully incompatible. And saying that only parts of Islam are a threat is like minimizing the threat of a Great White Shark, or a Tiger, or Mamba snake by saying that only a small part of it is dangerous.

You also need to factor in in the fact that mostly (if not all) Islammic countries are all dictatorships. Not only dictatorships, but dictatorships that fight amongst themselves all the time. Their idea of regime change is VASTLY different than that of Democracies. Islammic countries are one Muhammad-loving coo after another. A lot of times we view a coo as a struggle towards Liberation from an oppressive regime, only to be dissapointed again, and again, as the new regime is run by yet ANOTHER brutal, oppressive, Muhammad-loving, Islammic regime.

The UK is a less perfect example, but other than oil and natural gas (which Muslim countries also have loads of) the UK is not a significant source of anything you just listed ... (except maybe porn.) Let's not forget that during WW2, the UK was more or less doomed if Germany had succeeded in cutting the Brits off from their empire with their U-boat campaign. What was that? Because they are not a resource-rich nation. Especially back then their industry far exceeded their nation's ability to produce the needed raw materials. The UK can't operate like the USA or Russia or China as a self-sufficient industrial power. They have to import a lot to make it work.

Which they did through colonization. Perhaps the small islands that make up the UK had little resources, but the British empire encompassed much of the world including India, the mid east, Coastal Africa, Much of the Americas.

Conquering lands and exporting their religion. You don't need resources if you conquer the lands that do have them. Perhaps the Western world fears that the Islamic world will do to them what they did,
