Mosquitoes are carriers of malaria and other diseases, irritate people in tropical and temperate climates all over the world, and are much more a negative than a positive. They just love me, but I don't reciprocate. I'll give you credit for being the first person I have ever seen give a thumbs-up to mosquitoes.

at random, but pretty much any muslim - preach post would do

I might concede a case about pork as I suppose I would about bottom - feeding fish or snails or veg grown on dung. One might need to be careful about the preparation and might need to not think too much about where it's been.

However, supposed divine commands cut no ice whatsoever with me, so you might as well save your posting space. Thing is that trying to use medical, social or scientific reasons to do something advocated by a religion only serves to remove any support for religion and hands it over to medicine, sociology or science.

Any attempt to use religion as an authority is just going to tick people off about interfering, authoritarian and bullying religion, and so does it no favours.

Threats of hellfire and scowling gods with Ayatollah eyebrows just make us chuckle.

You are talking about the guys across the street. Us Muslim do not ascribe any physical attributes or descriptions to Allaah(swt) We do not see an image of an old man sitting on a throne as representing Him.

There is an average of 12 cases of trichinosis per year in the US, and most of them are from eating wild game (feral hogs, bears and cougars)...There hasn't been a pork related case in Canada for more than 15 years, so I'd say the chances of getting it from government inspected pork are slim to none.

Trichinosis is extremely rare in the US.
