A question that I really like of you to answer it please .
How could someone who dont know how to wright & read know about scientific facts ?
How did he know about something that will happen in the futre like Islam will continually rise and be one of the world's largest religions ?
Or that the dead body of Pharaoh would one day be discovered .

We believe that knowledge of the future is only with God Almighty ,However, God may favor whomever He pleases with some part of this knowledge .
As for me I would say that there must be a God & Muhammad must be his Messenger because1400 years ago no one knows about these kind of things . Big Bang :

I'd be interested to know how he knew whether or not that being speaking to him was an angel from God, or a demon from Satan? What was his proof that he wasn't being deceived?

Sorry .. but if you can not distinguish between the knowledge of something Holy and the knowledge of the devil , If you does not understand the simple basis of good and evil ... the proper basis of right and wrong ... then it will be very hard to convince you about anything .

You have to have at least basis on which to make a decision. Otherwise, you'll do nothing but decieve yourself into believing whatever you want to believe and claiming it came from God.
It's interesting that Muhammad accepted what we now know as the Old Testament as the revealed word of God (he even plagarized a good deal of it), but at the same time let that so-called angel convince him that the Scriptures were full of lies!
