On a related note, a few days ago, Clinton also brought up the way women's rights are being impacted in Israel.

It does boggle the mind in this day and age . . . even those with education adhere to such nonsense. It is very depressing.

If you go back and look a most of the 600+ laws laid down in the OT it does seem that Islam copied most of them.

Judaism, islam and christianity are all the same, backwards, middle eastern and misogynist to the extreme.
At least in the Westernised countries women have been able to tell christianity to shove their hatred and subjugation of women up their proverbials.
My hatred of these religions is based on the fact women are treated as second class citizens and even worse.

Just to note, without even reading that or going into details, we call that ultra orthodox Judaism. Conservative Judaism is a specific movement in Judaism that is actually centrist between Reform and Orthodoxy.
You might actually want to learn more about Judaism before posting more about it.
I thought learning and education was the core of the Enlightenment project.

and btw, most Ultra O are more moderate than folks in Mea shearim (who are generally opposed to the state of israel, btw) and the article confuses modern/zionist orthodox with ultra orthodox.
Really there is so much ignorance about Judaism here, I dont know where to begin.
Though I suppose the attacks on Islam are mostly rooted in similar ignorance.

I find it odd that allegedly humanely educated people would go around condemning entire civilizations based on things copied and pasted from the internet, without studying their histories, cultures, or even having the ability to properly name their sub groups.
