Threatening atheists is NOT a good way to convert them....Islam would be the last religion I would ever consider in any case...

If the best that allah can produce is an entire global community of people who deem it necessary to simultaneously bow to the East several times a day and sing along with a loudspeaker in some parrot chanting pre-memorized devotional, oh, and all while holding the ideas of the rest of the world in contempt, with an eventual intent of subjugating or eliminating them, I'll leave it, thanks.
My personal opinion?: I have all the proofs I need that none of this exists, but is rather a monumental waste of time and energy. It has partly achieved it's actual goal however, that of directing men to a fervent chauvinism, and subjugating it's women to their "culturally correct", fully enslaved position in this thoroughly outdated and antiquated paradigm.
Imagine: a supposedly peaceful world religion that is, in actuality, marching inexorably towards mass social destruction, cultural mayhem and calculated murder on an unimaginable scale, with a cultural disruption that, if left unchecked, would be rivaled only by the impact of the Chixulub meteor.
(Thankfully, the west, when allied, has an impressive technologically advanced defense mechanism...)

The problem is that we could point to a lot of world literature, The Bhagavad Gita, Shakespeare's tempest, The Illiad, Lord of the Rings, The Book of mormon and indeed some of the longer and more impressive posts that we have seen on the Forums and say 'That's just as good - if not better'.
Would you accept that argument or just appeal to some sort of sublimity (poetic or inspirational) which supposedly sets the Quran above anything else?
I'm afraid I can't concur as Shakespeare is read the world over (and so is LOR and Harry potter, for that matter) but the Quran is pretty much read only by muslims.
I have tried to read it and frankly, for literature, give me the Bible or even the Book of Mormon anytime.

Not really, science has its own facts which negate a creator and the heavens are really not a canopy. We know how it looks that way because we have been to space and have seen beyond the mere musing and limitations of 7th century desert dwellers.
No longer are they pinholes in the curtain of night and lo and behold some of them twinkly things are actually galaxies and perhaps planets.
