The thing is that generallly it is far easier to rule the masses through fear than to lead with compassion.
People are also more easily motivated by fear than by trust.

Yes, 'the' Islam is very good at ruling thru fear.

Have you conveniently forgotten about tthe Christians and their continuous threatening with eternal hell and damnation; that if you do not accept Jesus as Christ you will suffer eternally in hell?
I guess a Cyclops truly is king in the land of the blind.

Did Jesus ever teach that, or is it another perversion of man, in order to enslave them to bow down to their authority.

godspeed,

freedom

One thing that I have noticed Tricky that when someone brings up something critical of Islam or Muslims, you turn around and fire back at Christianity instead of answering or commenting on the original quote.

To me Christians, Muslims and Jews are all the same.
I personally do not follow any (organised) religion, although I consider myself a follower of Jesus.

No Jesus never taught that, this is why I do not follow a religion; I only have faith.

If you are truly located in the Netherlands, I might understand you're not following any organized religion if I understand the current religious climate there.
I have a couple of questions if you would mind to answer.

1. What is this "faith" you speak of - to think that Christians, Muslims, Jews are the same? I would beg to differ.

2. If you're objecting to "organized" religions, are you implying that "unorganized" are any better?

3. Are you aware that God through the Apostle Paul almost immediately started organized churches through out Asia Minor (keeping communication & coordination with the church in Jerusalem?)

4. The apostles had an organizational theme developed by Jesus?
A. the "inner three" - Peter, James, John
B. the other "nine"
C. financial secretary - Judas
D. the "others" who were with Jesus from the beginning - Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. Acts 1:23 [most likely 2 of the 72 that Jesus sent out in pairs]

5. The women who personally helped Jesus in his ministry (don't take that incorrectly)

After the resurrection, we learn this:

"And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues." 1 Corinthians 12:28

23 With them they sent the following letter: The apostles and elders, your brothers, To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia: Greetings.
24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said.
25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul Acts 15:23-25

" some went out from us without our authorization" this does not indicate nothing other than a organizational structure. Also when the bible reads first, second, third, then ect. instituted by God himself can be the bases for organized religion.

One benifit of "organized religion is when there was a discrepancy of teaching it can be corrected - Paul opposed Peter - Galations 2:11

Being threatened by an afterlife of damnation is a sight different then being threatened by a down syndromed woman rigged with an explosive suicide belt.
Bottom line, Christians and Muslims can believe what they want. Christians don't preach to their members to go out and kill non believers in the name of Jesus (and we are talking current events, not the inquisition or crusades of the middle ages) however, there is a segment that is very vocal about killing non believers of Islam (and even other muslims if they get in the way or believe in a slightly different version of islam) and actually carrying out such threats.
Murder is very real, Tricky D, and I hope for your sake that you do not believe that if ever you were in a situation where there was another terrorist al quida or hamas attack, that they would say "Everyone will be killed, except for Tricky! He understands us"

What I'm reading in the news all the time is that if your not Muslim, and your in a Muslim country, you really don't want to be in that country. You can be anything you want here in the US, we don't care. Could this be the problem? Nonetheless, there is a group of radical Christians out there who really have no idea what it means to be Christians. They give us all a bad name. I'm a Christian I read my Bible everyday, I listen to sermons all the time. Never once have I thought "if this guy isn't a Christian, boy I'm gonna let him have it" Never... That's not what it's about.

When Jesus sent his disciples out to spread the gospel, did he tell them that if they don't listen and convert, blow them up, kill them? NO! I'm sorry, I've read some of the Koran, and it's not pretty when talking about non-Muslims.

This violence and hatred has got to stop!

Have a great day all...

What does this mean?
That we in the US should begin to "care" and not accept Muslims?
I think you may have just placed yourself among the "radical" Christians who think Islam itself is a threat to the American way of life.

Do you see how you spun his comment into something it is not?

Sin is the greatest threat to the worlds way of life, America is a huge marketer and producer of it. Professed believers and non, gobble it up.

godspeed,
