islam vs. hinduism (heaven, converted, paradise)

This is a historical question related to religion. I know that Islam is very different from Hinduism and that Hinduism is essentially a polytheistic religion. But, i've recently wondered why Islam did not suceed in converting the vast majority of the Hindu people? Had the Muslim invaders of india converted the Hindus to Islam, there is know doubt that Islam would be by far the largest religion on the planet. How and Why did Islam fail to subdue Hinduism?

Islam doesn't ask you to change your religion by force. it is true that i would like to pay 5000 USD for charity to thank Allah that someone revert to Islam ,,but in the same time Quran and Sharia say “Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching and argue with them in a way that is better” [Quran 16:125]..

Islam message should be reach to everyone, because it is a light from heaven to lead you to the prosperous way of life and the paradise in the hereafter.Once I as a Muslim report this message to you, then it is all your CHOICE.
