People can ask any questions in their minds and I will try to answer with my broken English.

How can Muslims respect Jesus as a prophet when he clearly stated of his own free will that he was the Son of God?
That either makes him a liar or a lunatic in the eyes of Allah, correct?
How can such a man be a true prophet of God??

Truthfully, yes He did!
The Jews had been after Him for months to tell them straight-up, straight forwardly whether or not He was the literal Son of God. He had been delaying to tell them openly because the time was not yet right to divulge that information. He knew that once He told them that they would try to kill him. However His ministry was not yet concluded. In John 8:11 He said that He was the light of the world; he that followed me (Jesus) shall not walk in darkness (sin) but shall have the light of life (salvation; eternal life). He claimed equality with God the Father (you would say Allah) numerous times. He told the Jews that God in heaven was a witness of Him and also sent Him personally. In verse 23 He tells them that He is FROM ABOVE (heaven). He told them in verse 36 that if a person accepted Him as Messiah He would set them free (from spiritual death). He says in verse 41 that He proceeded forth and came from God in heaven and that He came not for His own glory but for that of God in heaven. In verse 58 He tells them that He was in existence BEFORE Abraham proving that He was indeed God incarnate. He tells them in chapter 10 that He came to die for man so that mans sins could be forgiven and man could be reunited with God spiritually. Brother, in verse 36 He plainly and openly states that He IS THE SON OF GOD.

He knew exactly what He was doing and saying. If not, then He must be insane or at the least, certainly NOT a prophet from God.

I must know ask you again. How can you respect Jesus as a prophet from God when He openly, willingly and LITERALLY told the world that He was the Son of God?

He either:
1. WAS who He said He was
2. was a lunatic or insane which would mean He could not possibly be a prophet from God. This , if true, would mean the Quran is wrong about Jesus.

Jesus knew EXACTLY what heHe was saying and why. He meant it LITERALLY. He flat out said hHe was the Son of God and He menant it!

I agree. Both Mohammed & Jesus never meant anything literally. They were both liars/false prophets.

We believe Jesus is the prophet of Allah/God , because its written in Quran . How you know Jesus said that he's the son of God and he's half human and half god . You know that Bibles was written many years after his death and has changed several times . This is the same with the logic of Islamic hadiths . Spoken words under the name of the prophets , large nbumber of these are fabricated and contradict with each other .

You are of course free to believe what you like. Jesus never said he was half God and half man I don't know where you got that idea. Jesus was fully God and fully man the fact that you as a Muslim do not understand or accept this concept is not proof that it is not true.. As nothing is impossible with God. You should not measure God by your human minds limit and expect God to conform to your human logic.

Makes no difference if the Gospel was written after Jesus's death, is not the same true of the Quran? How many years after the death of the prophet was it thought to collect the Quran together? How can you be absolutely sure that some scribe did not change or misinterpreted a word here or there? You take it on faith that it is true to the original. You can offer no proof of this wide scale changing of the Gospels not in any way that changes the central theme of the message. Christians have the living gospel that is Jesus so generally are not over concerned with textual variations of translations.

Brother: here is a sad truth- you have not been told the whole truth about Jesus.
You have also been told many things about the Bible which are not true. We can have a good discussion if you are willing to and the moderators do not close down the thread.
Are you willing to listen to the truth about Jesus?

JHWJ, I know you're doing what you believe is right, but you're on the wrong thread to do this. I believe this thread is meant to ask a Muslim about their faith, to get a better understanding of it. What you're trying to do at this point is tell them that they are wrong based on your Christian faith, and in effect proselytize. You will have better luck trying to clap with one hand.
