A lot of truth to that. In much of the Mideast and North Africa private ownership of property is not part of the Culture. This extends back for thousands of years and it is fairly recent the concept of ownership has been introduced
There is a word for land that was once Islamic, and is considered always Islamic.
Spain is in this category, It was won through Jihad conquests, and lost again during Ferdinan and Isabela's reign.
However now some muslim groups are demanding Spain be returned to Islam.
Not a return to private ownership of any person.
