I agree with that, it establishes a common ground for the people, good or bad, they all function as the same, and the society can live together.

It is when they overlap, troubles happen.

One reason Muslims do not recognize the OT as Scripture, but recognize the Torah and Pslams as scripture.

I only study the Tanahk, but I have a lot of Bibles.

My best friend{ he liked Christians, but hated Christianity} was an official translator for the nation of Israel, and where I wanted him to show me differences of Old Testament and Tanahk, there was little difference besides the names.

I ALWAYS agreed with him because I have no choice in the matter.

I am not qualified to show any difference if there is a difference because I don't speak Hebrew.

I will stand on every word in the J.P.S. as an authority because I have to go with Jewish translation, but I haven't run across much of anything of difference between my OT and my Tanahk, but if there is a difference, I would Go with the JPS.

None of my Old testament have those extra books, and I have many bibles.

All my Old Testaments look just like my Tanahk and if there is great differences, I would seek them out to learn

My Hebrew is poor but because of the similarity between Arabic and Hebrew I see some of the translation errors, particulary in Isiah.

Pruzhany is quite fluent in Hebrew, he may be able to give more input.
