Land for the mosque was bought in 2009 and construction began in 2012. On September 26, 2014, mosque was inaugurated by Ahmadiyya Muslim Khalifah (may Allah be his Helper) with a Friday sermon. He reminded his community what is purpose of a mosque in the light of Holy Quran:
1- Mosque is place, which remind to pay rights of Allah and rights of people.
2- Mosque reminds that Allah is Sustainer of all worlds. Sustenance include physical and spiritual aspects.
3- Mosque is not a place related to conflict. It is a place to promote peace, love and goodwill in the society at large.
4- People who come to Ahmadiyya Muslim mosque, believe that Allah has continued his spiritual nourishment of the world by sending long-awaited promised reformer, also known as Promised Messiah Mahdi and his Khilafat (The ardent devotees of Holy Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.). The reform procedure is without sword or gun, it is with prayers, morals, pen and service for humanity.
5- Mosque is place to pay right of people with sacrifice and justice, even to the opponent.
6- Mosque announce that true Islam ask for religious freedom. Anyone who worship One God can worship in mosque, as Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) allowed a visiting Christians delegation to pray in his mosque (Masjid Nabvi).
7- It is obligation to Muslims to defend places of worship of all religions.
8- Mosque reminds that the part of the faith is be loyal to country.
9- Mosque reminds one should continuously make self checks for improvements in offering five daily Prayers and conduct with people.
10- Ahmadiyya Muslims should realize their responsibilities, which increase after initiation of a mosque in area. Non-Muslims come to visit, they observe the morals of adherents of the mosque, they ask questions. These days Islam is in lime light. It is needed to inform people about the real peaceful teaching of Islam, as Ahmadiyya Muslims present through their deeds.
11-The name of the mosque is “Maryam Mosque”.
Maryam or Mary, was the respected mother of Jesus. Jesus (Esa, on whom be peace) is regarded as great Prophet in Islam. According to Ahmadiyya Muslims’ understanding, Jesus (on whom be peace) was taken alive from cross, cured, and then he migrated in search of lost-tribes. He found them on his way to Iran, Afghanistan and Kashmir. He did his services well to spread message of Allah.
Holy Quran presents example of Hazrat Maryam, as a model of righteous character to emulate.
The name of mosque, Maryam Mosque, reminds this message.
