I'm sure you know what you mean, but I cannot decipher it at all.

I was referencing your point that:

Religion is a hard thing to remove from a persons life, but was the foundation for most countries.
The common law. It works well when all are the same religion.
I don't know about you, but I do not want to see that type of government so dominated by religion.

This is why supposedly religion was removed from American government, but was, and still is in the background.

Not being an American, I don't know if I have the correct "Montgomery County"...but according to these stats, there are more Jews than Muslims right now....these demographics may change as some are saying the Jewish population is in decline....if the demographics change, the school districts can revisit their holiday scheduling?......On the other hand....the stats also indicate that only about 40% of the population affiliate with a religion....so what about the rest?...are they Atheist/Agnostic/Spiritual/Nones...?....

It is good that American-Muslims are bringing up matters of concern and actively participating in Society...Perhaps it is an indication that they feel they belong...?...after all, it is their country and county as much as all other Americans.....?....
The schools closure is not based on students. It is based on the teachers. If historically there have not been been enough substitutes available to cover for them, then the schools are closed.

This has got to be the most misleading OP title and subject yet. Absolutely nothing was "ruined." The days off are still given, the reason given for action by a government institution should never be based on religion anyway. The best reason given is high absenteeism during that time and a break needed for students and teachers.

This was set up at a time when Christian was the predominate religion, I remember when I was in grade school in Chicago, it came up quite a bit.
I was in a half Jewish neighborhood, and the jews seemed cast aside for the Christian faith.

Now, times are changing, and as more religions are represented in the country, we need to keep them all out of the schools.

The Christians brought this on themselves.

I think the school board made a good decision. Rather than setting one religion against another, it decided no religion would be represented by their holiday breaks. They are keeping their traditional breaks, but renaming them.

I wonder if they will be going to a standard Spring break time, or continue to move it around the easter period?

They'll be closed on Easter Monday.
