when muslims do such things i rejoice. when i see the burka go away when i see people drinking coffee smiling and enjoying themselves, i am glad. it is the angry vengeful violent practice of islam that i fear, not when happy muslims merchants sell christmas trees and ribbons.
All religions have same destination..As some one said God is one.Every religion has its great importance in its community..
It is very common for Jewish people to go to Chinese restaurants on Christmas. In big cities like New York and Philadelphia there are Kosher Chinese restaurants, so even the most observant Jews can have Chinese food on Christmas. There are also Halal Chinese restaurants - one in my neighborhood in fact - which might be a great way to get out and have a restaurant meal on a day when most places are closed.

Good thought.
But, it can be much simpler.
If only we all could just have mutual respect for each other as Brothers and Sisters in humanity.
If only daily we could see each other as fellow beings sharing the same planet. Simple greetings of Peace could go further than any mutual celebrations.

It is easy to be like that when you are satisfied with your station in life and have pretty much everything you need, as you and I do.
However, some people are hungry. They are not satisfied with their position in life and they want more. We should not expect these people to be peaceful like we are.

Some people do not want to mix with other types of people. For example, see what one poster wrote about Hunukkah in the Judaism forum.
Of course Hiker. I know the realities for being part of a less than gentle understanding world. That why I put "some" in my statement. But I feel (maybe you don't) in this case some is better than none.

Of course, you are right. Some is definitely better than none.

While hiker has made the obvious points why that probably is not going to happen for the "whole" of humanity anytime soon. I appreciate the sentiments you have. As I'm sure many other do. And I'd like to say to you and any others that have the same sentiments as you...
I am more than happy to share this world with you in peace.
