I am quite certain I am following Islam in all that is required, that being following the 5 Pillars to the best of my ability.

As for the teachings of Islam I believe the true teachings are the Qur'an, the Sittah ul-Kutub, and the Hanafi Madhab.

I think a lot of Sikhs would disagree that they follow the Quran as scripture. All they say is, like the Vedas and the Bible, that it is not false and should be considered.

Of course Sikhs are fairly egaliterian when it comes to women and have no problem women leading a religious ceremony. There are no Muslims that I'm aware of that allow that, and certainly there are some Christian sects that will not have women in leadership roles.

From Sikh.Org:
  1. Sikhism believes that people of different religions are equally capable of achieving salvation while still following their own religion.
  2. Sikhism rejects the killing of any animal evoking a prayer or by slow death. Muslim Halal meat is forbidden for Sikhs.

women can be and some are Imams Remember an Imam or any Islamic clergy is not (EDITED) ordained. They can be and usually are self-appointed

However, an adult male is forbidden from praying behind a woman. Therefore adult men should not be in a Mosque during the 5 obligatory prayers if they are being led by a female.

but if a woman is financially able to open and run a Mosque, there is nothing stopping her from doing so.

there is nothing restricting any person from opening up and running a Mosque, except their financial ability to do so. Most Imams male oR female receive no salary and operate the mosque out of their own wealth.

There are also female Shariah Judges still are. If I am not mistaken many of the current shariah judges are female

Thanks for the links. It appears some Muslims will accept some females as religious leaders, as long as they are not leading men.

That still does not address the issue of the Koran being followed by Sikhs, which it is not.

there is a strange relationship Sikhs have with Islam. Guru Nanak seems to have followed the Qur'an to a large extent

Guru Nanak's love for Islam :-

1. He visited Mecca & Madinah ( Holy Places of Muslims ) where only muslims are allowed to go.

2. In the voluminous Guru Granth ( Holy book of Sikhs ) Quran is mentioned by name more than once.

3. Sikhs agree that Muslims concepts were adopted in the Sikh religion.

4. Guru Nanak was thoroughly conversant in the Qur'an. The Guru Granth Sahib contains the teachings, philosophies and beliefs of Islamic saints.

5. Sikhs believe that their faith is not the only way to God. True Faith is belief in ONE SUPREME GOD, who is the creator, sustainer of all the
worlds.

An Imam is supposed to have only the role of caring for the Mosque and leading the daily prayers. They are not supposed to preach, lead or teach. In some areas they are begining to resemble Christian preachers, pastors and priest--but that is exceeding what an Imam is supposed to do.
The Religious leaders and teachers are scholars, and it has never been forbidden for women to be scholars or teachers of men.

Indeed it is. The whole goal of the Islamic theocracy is to expand itself by force and try and destroy this nation.

Almost everything about the U.S. from the country's original founding fathers, its Judeo-Christian heritage, freedoms, rights and liberties, is offensive to Islam. The false message from ISIS's to other Muslims is 'Come and help us build a utopia that will protect every single Muslim,' is probably a very seductive message to many gullible Muslims, even here in the U.S. This isolated sub-culture promotes hate in their Mosques, yet wants special treatment from our Government and elected officials. Islam doesn't represent or respect American values, they continue to show their contempt and hatred for western civilization, from the country that has given them many new opportunities, and a standard of life that no Islamic country can come close to.

Their goal is to try and destroy this nation as quickly as possible, and what better way to take over a country than by flooding it with brain-washed Islamic immigrants. Why would this country want to legitimize and import this violent backwards ideology on our soil for the sake of what? Best to play hardball with these unstable souls and send them back to the third-world country they came from.

There is thousands upon thousands of square miles of open land in the middle east for them to practice their full immersion into Islam.

Pew Global: 68% of Palestinian Muslims say suicide attacks against civilians in defense of Islam are justified.

Pew Research (2007): Muslim-Americans who identify more strongly with their religion are three times more likely to feel that suicide bombings are justified.

Pew Research (2010): 84% of Egyptian Muslims support the death penalty for leaving Islam

Gallup: 38.6% of Muslims believe 9/11 attacks were justified

Poll Saudis in August 2014 shows 92% agree that Islamic State (ISIS) "conforms to the values of Islam and Islamic law."

Policy Exchange: One third of British Muslims believe anyone who leaves Islam should be killed

MacDonald Laurier Institute: 62% of Muslims want Sharia in Canada

Just addressing this:

There is thousands upon thousands of square miles of open land in the middle east for them to practice their full immersion into Islam.

Why would a person that has no roots in the Mideast want to migrate to the Mideast?
They do not speak the language, they do not like the climate etc.
Very few Muslims are Arab, even less speak Arabic

Why would an American Muslim, born in the USA and whose parents, grandparents and great grand parents born in the USA with white skin, blue eyes, only speaks, English, owns his own business in the USA and has never been outside the USA want to move to the Mideast?

That is like saying all Roman Catholics should move to Italy.
Less than 25% of the world's Muslims have any connection with the Mideast. Probably less than 15%
Every Muslim is local. Every Mosque is Local and has no connection or leadership from outside the local community. A Mosque is very often simply a room in the House of a local Muslim.

The Majority of Muslims in the USA are African/Americans whose Muslim ancestors were brought here as slaves

The next largest group is probably from Pakistan and arrived since 9/11. After 9/11 when we started bombing the bejabbers out of Muslim Nations there has been a huge incentive for Muslims to come to the US to escape war.

But overall the majority of Muslims in the USA were born here and have family roots here going back many generations. This is their homeland, not the Mideast.

A paradox is that the majority of Mideasterners (Arabs, Iranians, Palestinians) that migrate to the US are Christian.
