It's hard to believe that ANYONE was so utterly stupid as to make that statement, comparing Gellar with Islamic terrorists. Had the Islamist shown up with signs and protested the gallery, fine, that's their right. I would have absolutely supported them, no matter how stupid they might be acting. Yet these animals chose to attempt to murder people over a silly superstition. These animals are the very people Gellar and others are warning about, not the peaceful Muslims that act like normal human beings. They proved her statements true to the point that even the most foolish and ignorant can't argue the truth of them. To compare her with these savages is foolish.

2 out ot 4,000,000 Muslims in the USA
3,999,998 American Muslims acted with tolerance and did not even protest or demonstrate against Pam Geller's event.

More than a few have condemned the cowardly wannabee terrorist.

Muslims React To Garland Shooting With Strong Condemnation Of Violence

N. TX Muslims condemn actions of Garland shooting suspects - Fox4News.com | Dallas-Fort Worth News, Weather, Sports

GARLAND, TEXAS (AP) - By The Associated Press

1:45 p.m. CDT

The nation's largest Muslim advocacy organization has condemned an attack by two gunmen outside a suburban Dallas venue hosting a provocative contest for Prophet Muhammad cartoons.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations said in a statement Monday that a violent response is more insulting to the Muslim faith than any cartoon. The council said "bigoted speech" can't be an excuse for violence.

Leaders emphasized the American Muslim community's support for open speech and condemned acts of terror.

Like I said...they're human. What do you expect? How many times have you heard someone compare someone else to Hitler who did not actually kill anyone? To me it seems like you're expecting the Muslims of Texas to be more than human. Their speaker seemed glad nobody was hurt except the attempted murderers. Good enough. We're not going to get anyone in this community to be all warm and fuzzy-like.

Research some of Geller's antics. There's her recent ad campaign. There's her comparison of halal food to kosher food. Yes...two very bad people are now off the streets, but some innocent curious Pakistani/American teenage male could have wandered in wearing a backpack (which someone might assume was holding a bomb) or been holding a walking stick that looks like an AK47 and been vaporized under a river of lead by the jumpy cops expecting to be shot at.

I would be very surprised if the Texas Muslims in the area near that cartoon contest were in a good mood after the events we've been talking about. They did fine.

You just pointed out something I had not thought about.
There were 40+ armed guards all in a very enhanced state of alertness anticipating the probability of a terrorist attack
A scenario which had a very wide window open for the possibility of an innocent person getting killed.
Even a non-Muslim could have been mistaken for a terrorist it he happened to walk by with a backpack or carrying a package.

No we are not. We are just expecting Muslims to act like normal Americans.

When your local Ku Klux Klan or American Nazi Party have gatherings, you accept that it is their Constitutional right to get together in a peaceful meeting and express ideas that you may not agree with. You may want to have a peaceful protest outside the place where they meet, but you will not threaten them with violence.

We expect Muslims to behave the same way when people have a Quran-burning party or a draw-Muhammad party. They do not have to respect the Quran-burners, but they should tolerate them. That is what Americans do.

I agree, even though I think you have the analogy wrong The radical Islamists are comparable to the KKK or American Nazi party. I despise all of them, but, somewhat grudgingly, agree with their right to protest or demonstrate. Gellar was comparable to those that stood up to the KKK or protested American Nazis in a peaceful manner. These two animals were comparable to a KKK Grand Duke walking out of the mob and shooting a peaceful person protesting them.

This is the only time I recall widespread denunciation of the peaceful protesters, and support and justification being applied to bigoted savages. Did anyone say the civil rights workers that were killed in MS in the 60s brought it on themselves and antagonized those racists? That the poor racists just couldn't help themselves and "snapped" in the face of this instigation? IMO...we have become a nation of cowards, when we are afraid to stand up to evil and violence.

Once again, not all Muslims, blahblahblah

They could have been struck by a lightning bolt or run over by a car, too. Guess what? Didn't happen. Free speech had it's day, and a side benefit, two violent terrorists are unable to kill Americans. I'm sorry about the guard that was shot though, hope he makes a full recovery.

Which every Texas Muslim did. Not one Texas Muslim was involved with what happened at the cartoon contest.
