If you google Muhammad and miracles almost half the links are claiming and siting verses in the Quran and even own quotes from Mohammad to prove their point.

You may notice those are anti-Islamic sites and have a tendency to take quotes out of context or quote inaccurate translations.

If you want to know what Muslims believe you will have to go to Islamic sites. Then look at the reasons they believe what they believe and see if it makes sense.

^^

so islamist sites are free of bias?

i do not want to know what Muslims believe.

i want to know what is specifically said in the Quran.

did mohammad perform miracles or not as according to the quran.

there are no debates about whether or not jesus performed miracles in the Bible. (this is different from the debate of them actually occurring)

there is obviously some debate on muhammad in relation to miracles.

No the Qur'an hardly even mentions Muhammad(saaws) it gives no information about his life. The Qur'an is not a revelation about Muhammad(saaws)
To learn about Muhammad you have to read the ahadith which are the eyewitness reports from people that knew Muhammad(saaws)

My understanding is neither Muhammad(saaws) nor any other Prophets(PBUT) Performed any miracles, the Miracles were the work of Allaah(swt) not of the Prophets(PBUT)

While the miracles were done THROUGH the Prophets(PBUT) they were not the work of them

when we talking about people performing miracles it is already understood it was from a higher being.

and Muhammad(saaws) acknowledged the miracles done through him were not of his own ability or power

People saw Muhammad(saaws) performing miracles, he acknowledged they were not from his power

if the people saw him doing miracles why did they ask him if he did any?

and why would his response be no?

he should have said I perform miracles THROUGH God.

I do not believe there is any place noted where anyone asked him if he performed any miracles, he simply made the general statement that he did not perform miracles all miracles are from Allaah(saaws)
