I understand the problems caused by Jews moving back to their holy land. Obviously, Muslims don't consider it their land. They should take it up with the OT Lord who promised it to them. I thought Muslims and Christians worshipped the same God. Evidently, based on actions and their different religions, they don't. Again, there is little or no evidence for Muslims, Christians, and Jews worshipping the same god. It is all hypothetical, a fairyland world. What we have today is similar to what was happening in OT times. There is the OT Lord, and all of those pagan gods. I suppose the OT Lord is old fashion. Someone should straighten Him out.
Yes ISIS has killed many Christians, but they have killed many more Muslims.

the conflict between Shi'ite and Sunni is a political conflict. Nearly all Sunni are Aryans (Iranians) and in the Mideasrt mearly all Arabs are Sunni. It is a very long conflict that predates the Qur'an. all about land. In spite of this we are permitted to pray in each other's Mosques, Shi'ites are permitted in Mecca and Medinah which are open only for Muslims.

Nearly 20% or the Palestinians that lost their land, were Jews. while currently there are no Palestiniaqn Jews in Gaza there are a sizable number in the "West Bank" it is an error to assume that that all Palestinians are Muslims. The conflict is Palestinian vs Israeli not Muslim vs Jew.

We do believe Christians, Jews and Sabeeans worship the same God(swt) we do, but they have slipped in obedience to him and some have ascribed, equals, partners and progeny to God(swt) and also worship them.

The critical point here is ISIS and its likes killed Christians, non-Muslims and many Muslims when inspired by certain verses from the same Quran that all Muslims shared.

Thus as long as there is the Quran, ISIS and its like will exist to commit terrible evils upon non-Muslims and 'Muslims.'

So this is a catch-22 that humanity must recognize and address.
One reason is there is no central authority to decide who is right or wrong in interpreting the verses in the Quran.

The catch-22
The Quran is imperative for Muslims [1.5 billion] but at the same time the essential Quran is the root cause for SOME Muslims to kill Muslims.
It would appear Muslims are [unconsciously] moral supporting a 'knife' that could be a threat to themselves which is a reality as present as 'SOME Muslims' are killing other 'Muslims'.
Those 'SOME Muslims' believed they are right to carry out the killing and there is no authority to decide they are wrong or right.

So how can we resolve the dilemma?

"Slipped in obedience to him." That is a huge stretch. Present evidence for Christians, Jews, and Muslims worshipping the same god. READ THE QAU'AN. Where does it say Muslims should worship the OT Lord. Where does it say Allah is the same god as Jews or Christian god? In the course of history, when did Muslims Jews and Christians get together to worship the same god?

If you read history you will discover that Israel offered Muslims the opportunity to keep their land as Jews took over governance of Israel. What happened was surrounding Arab nations persuaded Muslims in Israel to abandoned their lands, telling them they would be killed by Jews if they didn't. Today, Muslims occupy land in Israel, and several Muslims occupy important government posts in Israel, including the Chief Justice of the Israeli Supreme Court. Where is the case for Jews repressing Muslims in their home state of Israel? So, in Gaza, there is conflict between Israel an Palestinians (Muslims) because those Muslims (Palestinians) want to destroy Israel. Israel has not backed down, they refuse to allow Gaza terrorist to destroy Israel.

Present evidence for Palestine Muslims and Israeli Jews worshiping the same god.
